Erasmus Mundus pre-departure session |
|
European “Erasmus Mundus” pre-departure session Since 2004 the European Union extended its scholarships offer for its exchange programme in high-education “Erasmus Mundus” to third country institutions, in order to support the mobility of students and academicians between Europe and other continents, including Asia. The selected candidates may range from undergraduate to post-doctorate.
On 29th July 2010, a special pre-departure session was organised by the European Delegation, attended by Dr Frederic Durand, the MFUC’s French Director. It aims at allowing the Malaysian students and scholars selected for the 2010/2011 intake to get first hand information on their future countries of residence. For this intake, 11 students and 1 academic from Malaysia have been awarded Erasmus Mundus scholarship. They will study at the Masters courses offered by fourteen out of the EU’s twenty-seven Member states, among which France. The course contents are ranging from engineering, technology and economics to tourism and management.
France now offers more than 500 courses taught in English, mainly at Masters level. French universities also accept students who want to prepare and defend a PhD thesis entirely in English. |
