Talk on ‘Career opportunities for Malaysian graduates from France’ |
|
A career talk was organised jointly by the MFUC and the Malaysian-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MFCCI). The aim was to gather graduates from France and representatives from French companies in Malaysia and discuss professional opportunities. The talk was successful as more than 60 students and graduates from France were present and 8 French companies were represented.
After an opening speech by Dr Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MFCCI Career & Training Committee, four French companies (Aramis, Technip, Lafarge and Carrefour) presented their professional fields and the opportunities offered in their group. Several alumni also talked about their own personal and professional experiences: Mr Andrew Quay, a graduate from the Taylor’s University College, spoke about professional achievements and opportunities in hospitality and tourism; Mr Osman Saiful Jumaat, a SUPELEC graduate, spoke about creating his own company in the field of ICT. The Q&A session was then the time for exchanges between the speakers and the audience.
Participants continued their discussions around a buffet and at the companies’ booths after the talk.We hope to make this first career talk an annual event as the number of graduates from France keeps increasing. |
