François-Rabelais University in Tours launches two new summer programs in the field of humanities: 

The first one, organised by the CESR (Centre for Advanced Studies in the Renaissance) is entitled The Invention of Modern Europe, (14th -17th centuries) and it will be held from June 15th to 26^th, 2009.

The second program, Europe in the Making: Understanding the History and Workings of Today's European Institutions, will take place from June 29^th to July 17^th, 2009. A cultural trip to the European Institutions in Strasbourg is included in this program.

Students may apply for a €500 scholarship offered by the Conseil Général d’Indre-et-Loire (local Council).

Deadline for registration: April 15^th 2009

For both programs, students may also register for an intensive French language course.
